How scary is The Phillies Rotation?

3 Cy young winners? Check. World Series MVP? Check. Joe Blanton as your number 5? Check.  Philadelphia has arguably one of the best rotations in history, and is definitely the favorite to go all the way.  Hard to imagine the phillies not winning at least 100 games, maybe more. Probably the most anticipated matchup in the upcoming season will take place June 28th-30th, when the Red Sox travel to Citizens Bank Ballpark to take on the Phils. Sounds like a world series preview to me.

  1. Wow, what a matchup! The two biggest sell-outs in baseball! "Oh, wahhh the Yankees spend too much money!" Shut up, you're payroll in two years is going to be just as high as their's, and, by the way, combined you don't even have 1/3 the championships that America's REAL baseball franchise does. Can't wait to see that match-up, though! And boy gee whiz, Philly's lineup is mighty scary! Its like a bed-time story my mommy told me once! I almost wet myself! Not! My mother told me bedtime stories, and their lineup is only good 1-5. You cant win games if you dont score runs, no matter how good your pitching is. And have some respect, why dontcha? June 28th shouldnt be about baseball. I for one will be remembering the souls of Three U.S. Navy SEALs and 16 American Special Operations Forces soldiers that were killed during Operation Red Wing, a failed counter-insurgent mission in Kunar province, Afghanistan in 2005. Those men gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country, and I, as an ardent patriot of this great land in which we live, will not have it all be about baseball. Especially when two teams that are so anti-american as these two are playing. Yeah, Im talking to you David Ortiz. Youve been in this country for fifteen years. Learn to speak English!

Other than that, great piece, real great piece. Much props to you. It will be a pretty good series, though I definitely like the Phils in it. God Bless!

  2. "You cant win when you dont score runs"

Exactly, no one will be scoring against the phillies. Yes, losing Werth is a blow to the offense, but they will still score runs, at least enough to win, and I'm thinking Jimmy Rollins might actually have a decent year. Once this rotation gets in the playoffs, its tough to see them losing.
